From barefoot barbecues to formal a la carte dining, there are many different ways to enjoy the island’s natural hospitality.
The Veranda Restaurant has a new offering; inspired by the West Indies, Veranda’s evening menu has been created to take you on a voyage of classic and contemporary dishes using house rubs and delicately spiced marinades.
Diners have a selection of smaller sharing plates or larger main sized dishes to choose from, matched with a tantalising range of flavour-packed sides, all cooked using traditional methods – smoked and grilled over flame.
Whilst our extensive wine list, which won an Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator in 2013, will keep even the most enthusiastic oenologist happy.
Guests can enjoy a cocktail before or after dinner at The Great Room Bar which with its cooling fans, lime-washed woods and West Indian artefacts, elegantly decorated in Messels’ signature colonial style. The weekly Mustique Company cocktail party is held here giving guests the opportunity to mingle with resident homeowners and catch up on island news.
For those seeking something a little less formal the Beach Café situated on Endeavour Bay is a relaxed restaurant with a Beach Bar for evening cocktails at sundown, and a dedicated Ice Cream Parlour, serving a delicious range of homemade ice’s and smoothies.
Further afield Basil’s Bar located in Britannia Bay has been hosting an international crowd for over 25 years. In season, Wednesday night is party night with a barbecue buffet and the famous ‘Jump Up’ with live music. More serious ‘groupies’ return in late January, when A-list musicians participate in the Mustique Blue’s Festival.
