Dear Friends,
We have now been at Cobblers for three weeks with the children. The news in Barbados continues to be good. There is no community spread of the virus, the weather is marvellous, the sea is sparkling, living conditions feel normal and there is NO quarantine requirement for those returning to the UK.
Having experienced for ourselves flights to and from the island, we can say with confidence that travel here remains a hassle free experience and that protocols to protect us all have been smoothly implemented. Access to the island is actually about to get easier – from October there will be two direct daily direct flights on British Airways from the UK, including a new flight out of Heathrow, and Virgin Atlantic has committed to recommence flying by then. In addition, Virgin has introduced free Coronavirus Travel Insurance for all its passengers. There are also regular flights from the USA and Canada on Jet Blue, American Airlines, Air Canada and WestJet.
There is in addition the option of private air travel. We have partnered with a charter jet company to organise private travel, so as to offer guests a comfortable and exclusive end-to-end experience using private terminals at both ends of the journey. Prices are not so different from the cost of first class travel on a commercial airline. Please contact us directly for more information.
We re-open on Sunday, 11 October and look forward to welcoming you. Book your holiday, pack your bags and come right back.
Warmest wishes
Hugh & Sam Godsal
